PETER NEUMANN and ALBERT RINGER
Peter Neumann is the interim central & eastern Europe coordinator for Limmud EU. Born and raised in Budapest, he studied sociology and only became active in the Hungarian Jewish community in his 20s. He was the Program Manager at Haver Foundation, leading fundraising and developing the educational activities. Haver aims to overcome intolerance in Hungary by bringing together Jewish youth with non-Jewish students in an informal educational frame-work. Peter is involved in initiatives connected to informal education, housing poverty and dialogue between distant socioeconomic groups.
Albert Ringer (originally trained as an art historian) lives in Rotterdam and is a Reform rabbi. In addition to his work in various Jewish communities, he is also spiritual caregiver at Parnassia in The Hague. He regularly writes commentaries on religious matters and Torah.
