CHANTAL CARLIER
Chantal Leah Carlier groeide op bij haar Joodse
oma die een sopraan en muzieklerares was.
Chantal haar passie werd dans. Ze ging als kind op
ballet en leerde rond haar 18de verschillende
Israëlische dansvormen kennen in Israël.
Als choreografe werkte ze de voorstelling Lost
Luggage uit ( jeugd danstheater ) geïnspireerd op
de film Left Luggage van Jeroen Krabbé. Momenteel
geeft ze ballet en etnische dans aan het nationale
gymnastiek team maar werkt voornamelijk als
zelfstandig dans en yoga therapeut.

In this active session we will discuss
Yemenite, Sephardic, Hasidic and Israeli
dance. We explore these forms of folk dance
with different Jewish music styles, each of
which has its own rhythms and decorations.
